As we end this month and this season of Let's Scare my Girlfriend to Death let us reflect on maybe the ultimate disappearance horror film the French/Dutch co-production of The Vanishing. A movie that gives us a frighteningly realistic take on what the disappearance of a loved one does to a person and the type of person it takes to just remove someone from society. Did we like it? It's Thanksgiving week so at Let's Scare My Girlfriend to Death we are giving thanks to the movie gods for Kurt Russell, disappearance horror, and action/thrillers set in the American Southwest with this weeks movie Breakdown. 

And Soon the Darkness

Join us for the original And Soon the Darkness as we follow Pamela Franklin, a nurse on a bicycling vacation with her co-worker/friend who disappears seemingly into thin air. This solid little thriller set the stage for films like Polanski's Frantic and the Kurt Russell film Breakdown. However, did we like it? Did it scare Cyndi to death? Join us to find out. 

Sinister

November brings a month of horror movies about missing people and we begin with the modern classic Sinister. Join us as we watch this part crime thriller, part demonic horror film, part domestic drama filled with dread, jump scares, and some of the best found footage horror sequences ever filmed. 

As Above So Below

Well we did it, we made it to the end of the month and to Halloween. So as a gift we go to hell, literally, with our final found footage film of the month As Above So Below. This week we bring you alzheimer's/dementia, found footage, child murder, creepy switchboards, a hidden body, and an elderly woman trying to swallow a child hole to pass the soul of an undead serial killer into her body. That's right we watched The Taking of Deborah Logan. Did we like it? Did it scare Cyndi to death? Join us to find out.
